A basic research of the Department of Experimental physics is focused on nanotechnology and nuclear spectroscopic methods including Mössbauer spectroscopy. It is also directed to the development of optical and image processing, metrology and the development of measuring methods and systems. The research results are published in impacted scientific journals. At the department there are several research laboratories equipped with modern devices and facilities, which are also at the disposal of a doctoral, and, respectively, bachelor and master programs students for their thesis elaboration. The staff of the Department is also engaged in an applied research, e.g. in the framework of the projects TACR or MIT.
