Laboratory of thermodynamics and molecular physics
The laboratory is used during the laboratory excercises in the subjects KEF/MOT and KEF/MFT. The laboratory is used also for the practical activities in the seminar KEF/PJD Low cost experiments. Experiments are regularly changed and innovated. The laboratory ecercises follow up the lectures in molecular physics and thermodynamics. Examples of measured tasks:
- Measurement of the thermal expansion, water anomaly,
- Measurement of the surface tension of the liquids by (a) droplet method and (b) from the output in the capillary (all methods are comparative),
- Measurement of heat transmission - determination of k-coefficient,
- Solar radiation, solar technology, greenhouse effect, efficiency of solar cells, usage of the ISES system,
- Laws of gases.
